Hertingfordbury CC 1st XI v Abbots Langley on Sat 01 May 2010 at 1.00
Hertingfordbury CC Lost by 22 Runs

Match report Hertingfordbury 1st XI suffered an opening day home defeat against Abbots Langley in their debut season in Division 3.
Having won the toss and electing to field Hertingfordbury put in a very competent bowling and fielding performance with debut boy Anthony Burton and promoted king of spin John Bryden taking four wickets a piece.
Scott Bambling saw a welcome return to action after missing the whole of last season with a knee injury returning tidy figures of 1-41 from twenty overs.
In reply an under strength Bury batting line up were reasonably well placed at 75-3 but the inexperienced middle and lower order fell away and a collaspe left Hertingfordbury on 110-9 before some lusty late blows from Antony Gronert and the injured skipper briefly threatened a last wicket victory, but to no avail.
