Match report Fairly forgettable match with the Bury scoring too few and County Hall making easy work of the chase. Two memorable moments involving Mr Beckett and Mr Wood should be noted though....During the last over of the Bury innings Mr Beckett decided that it was on his shoulders to score the bulk of any late runs whilst at the same time protecting the tail. After refusing a single off the first ball of the over and missing the second ball James desperately tried without success to reach the boundary with the 3rd ball. The ball was collected by the opportunistic square leg fielder, and with James leaving his crease but once again deciding to refuse the single a brief comedy moment resulted in James walking back to the pavilion run out.

Not much to note in the field aside from a brilliant one handed catch from Lee Wood. The County Hall opening bat thought he had despatched a lovely on drive, only to be left stunned (along with everyone else in attendance) by the sight of Lee plucking the ball out of the air with his right hand whilst mid fall/dive to his right. Marvellous effort that.
