Match report A much improved performance from Hertingfordbury, both with bat and ball. Inserted on a tricky pitch as a result of heavy showers in the morning, Hertingfordbury started well, due to a quickfire 32 from Matt Gilewicz. Wickets fell consistently but Charles Martin's composed innings of 59 provided the backbone for the home side's 198.

Harpenden attacked from the first over and their openers Wade and Arnold made decent inroads into the target. Wickets from Beckett and Bambling pegged the run rate back, the latter finishing with 4-57. Rider took wickets at key times and ended up with 4-40. Hertingfordbury's catching and fielding was generally very good and the performance was much improved from last week.
