Match report Hertingfordbury won their first away victory of the season largely due to a fine individual effort from Scott Bambling, who scored 77 not out and then took 6 wickets for 29 runs.

Inserted, Hertingfordbury made a cautious start after tight bowling from Hatfield's two left arm openers. Darby and Palmer put on 49 runs together but when they both fell to the left arm spinner Jakes, Hertingfordbury were 79 for 5 off of 30 overs. Bambling's innings was aggressive right from the start. He was well supported by Alex Preston and their 90 run partnership in 17 overs gave the momentum to the away side.

Hatfield's first pair started positively however it was never going to be easy chasing 200 runs on a pitch that gave support to both seam and spin. Charlie Martin took the key wickets of Bond and Desai, both bowled, and none of the Hatfield batsmen ever looked comfortable against Bambling, who was almost unplayable during his two spells. Steve Rider also chipped in with two crucial wickets.
