Match report After being inserted we made steady progress on a track that helped the bowlers whilst the ball was hard. William and Matt played sensibly just waiting for the bad ball until Matt was out trying to pull a ball that just stopped on him. Rhys had a brief spell at the crease before Harley senior came to the crease with the Bury at 72-2 off 26 overs. At this point Adelaide were feeling a bit chipper and kindly advising the batsmen that it was not a five day test. Unperturbed Harley and Harley accelerated the scoring rate until Simon departed for 45.Smurf joined William and they saw us through to the declaration with the latter not on 68.
Smurf struck in the first over with a well directed long hop and apart from a brief spell during which Adelaide started taking some quick singles they seemed intent on trying to win the game with boundaries. Wickets started to fall regularly with everyone chipping in and some good catches. The skipper then turned to spin with first William and then Matt coming on to resume their partnership. They cleaned upthe tail with William capping a good day taking four wickets
